Christmas & Birthday photos

We have many more photos from Christmas & Ben's 2nd birthday party, which we held on Sunday, but here are a few of our favorites to start.

Ben really liked ripping off the paper this year!

We made the mistake of leaving the Little People farm unwrapped as Santa's gift. Ben saw it first and it was like pulling teeth to get him to open any other presents. We eventually decided just to let him play with it, and we opened the rest of the presents Sunday.

Showing off his monkey pj's from Grammie & Papa:

Relaxing & reading his stack of books:

Christmas at Kenny & Lynn's. Ben had a good time playing with the toys and the other little boy cousins.

We postponed Ben's 2nd birthday party until after the craziness of the holidays was over.  The kids had a great time playing with the Mr. Potato Head accessories and I don't know that they ever actually got out one of the potato heads! Here are some of Jerry's photos.

Wearing sunglasses from Great-Grandma:

Ben wanted one of the cupcakes the moment I put them on the table. Uncle Jeff & Opa ran interference. We did a stars & moon theme for the cake (chocolate) & cupcakes (vanilla) because Ben loves going outside each night when we get home and looking for the moon & stars.

Insisting that Opa try out the microphone from Uncle Jeff, which was a big hit!

Ben sings the "Woo Hoo Song"

I know we still have Christmas pictures to share...we are way behind! I thought I'd at least upload this short clip from tonight. Ben still loves listening to music & watching music videos on YouTube and the song "Buddy Holly" by Weezer is one of his favorites. He calls it the "Woo Hoo Song" because a repeated part of the song is "Woo hoo - but you know I'm yours. Woo hoo - and I know you're mine." This is Ben singing the first 2 lines of the chorus. The words are "Oh wee oh, I look just like Buddy Holly. Oh oh and you're Mary Tyler Moore." I didn't even realize he knew that many words until I heard him muttering something about "Mary Tya-Mo" in the car yesterday! He continually surprises us with how many song lyrics he picks up and how many songs he recognizes when they come on the iPod.
